Remember when you were a kid and your allowance was two shiny quarters?
There was no direct deposit to the candy store, no worrying about the best interest rate in your savings account. No fretting about maxing out the number of “free” debits allowed on your account.
Banking has become a tad more hands on since then. Now that I’m earning Canadian_money in addition to the OogleGay funding that I haven’t quite managed to quit yet we needed to organize our funds. Our house was sitting in a rather drafty account at ScotiaBank, with a small unfinished basement still in the US at the Emory Credit Union. We also have an old Bank of Montreal account and a shiny new VanCity credit union account. To keep the house safe from tornados (and puppy purchases) we wanted to put it into an ING account. Ok…so here’s the e-juggling that actually happened tonight to try to consolodate all of this.
In addition to this is McKay’s savings account and 7 retirement accounts (2xPutnam, 2xTIAA-CREF, 1X Queens, 2X PHSA) and 4 credit cards. You now what the bugger is about all of this? The damned userids and passwords.
Gads. Hey….can I have a dollar?
