One of the nice things about living in this part of the world is the wide array of geography you can have the pleasure of walking through. BC is a good example of that: we have city and wilderness; desert and rain forest; fresh and salt water.
This weekend was our mountains and beach excursion. Yesterday, we went snowshoeing in the North Shore mountains (see post below). Today, we went for a walk at low tide on Spanish Banks and had a wonderful time. The tide flats are quite expansive; we probably walked about a quarter of a mile out from the high tide line. M had a priceless look on his face when I told him the spot we were standing on would be under six feet of water in five hours.
